What a rude awakening week1 turned out to be. At least the Saints didn’t fail me, but beyond the Patriots and Packers…my betting suggestions flat-out sucked. I was hoping by Monday that the Chargers could pull me even, but 2-4-1 was all I could muster.
Raiders +6 @ Titans L 13-38
Falcons -2.5 @ Steelers L 9-15
Lions @ Bears -6.5 L 14-19
Bengals @ Patriots -4.5 W 24-38
Browns +3 @ Bucs T 14-17
Packers -3 @ Eagles W 27-20
Chargers -4.5 @ Chiefs L 14-21
Plenty of surprises abounded in week1, but when I look at my week1 picks in retrospect…I was putting too much confidence on downright dogs such as the Raiders and Bears. I also made too many picks, for had I merely stuck with my top3 picks (the Patriots, Packers & Chargers), I would have been 2-1 instead of 2-4-1. Anyway, lessons learned…and please don’t count me out just yet.
